Connect compatible pipework to a suitable cold-water tank.
Where it earns its place on a narrowboat
This tank connector can be useful when renewing a connection on an onboard cold-water tank. Check the tank itself before choosing it: John Guest specifies a maximum tank wall thickness of 4mm, so it is not a universal fitting for every narrowboat tank.
Choose the right fitting
- Choose 15mm or 22mm pipe connection.
- Cold water only.
- Maximum tank wall thickness: 4mm.
- Compatible with Speedfit PEX or polybutylene pipe with inserts, and copper pipe.
Before you fit it
Check the tank wall, hole requirements and sealing arrangement against John Guest’s instructions. Plastic pipe requires the appropriate insert. Do not assume suitability for a thick steel tank or a pressurised vessel.
Using Speedfit plastic pipe? Choose the matching JG Speedfit Superseal pipe insert for each pipe end. Superseal inserts are for Speedfit pipe and fittings only.
