Where it earns its place on a narrowboat
A Superseal insert supports the end of Speedfit plastic pipe and adds sealing where the pipe enters a compatible Speedfit fitting. Keep the right size with your spare fittings so the repair is ready to assemble.
Choose the right fitting
- Select 10mm, 15mm or 22mm to match the Speedfit pipe.
- For Speedfit pipe and Speedfit fittings only; do not assume it fits other brands.
- 15mm and 22mm inserts have two additional O-rings; the 10mm version has one.
- For hot and cold water and central heating within John Guest’s limits.
Before you fit it
Fit an insert into each Speedfit plastic pipe end being connected, following John Guest’s instructions. Inserts are not needed in copper pipe. An insert does not repair a damaged fitting or compensate for a badly cut pipe.
