Cap an unused pipe end when the onboard layout changes.
Where it earns its place on a narrowboat
Use a matching stop end to close a compatible water line when removing a fixture or leaving a branch unused. It is a removable cap, so the connection can be reopened when the next stage of the job is ready.
Choose the right fitting
- Choose 10mm, 15mm or 22mm to match pipe outside diameter.
- Push-fit cap for a temporary or permanent termination.
- Suitable for hot and cold water and central heating within John Guest’s limits.
- This is a stop end, not an isolation valve.
Before you fit it
Use with compatible Speedfit PEX or polybutylene pipe, or copper pipe. Match the fitting to the pipe’s outside diameter. Plastic pipe needs the correct manufacturer’s insert; copper pipe does not. Isolate the water, make a clean square cut and follow John Guest’s insertion and locking instructions. Check the joint for leaks before closing up the cupboard or access panel.
