Where it earns its place on a narrowboat
Fit this ball valve on a compatible onboard hot or cold water line when you want a local shut-off for servicing a fixture. Leave the handle accessible: the benefit is being able to stop that line quickly when work is needed.
Choose the right fitting
- Select 15mm or 22mm to match pipe outside diameter.
- Quarter-turn handle with red and blue identification attachments.
- Sold individually as one valve; the photograph is for illustration.
- Hot and cold water only; not suitable for central heating.
Before you fit it
Use with compatible Speedfit PEX or polybutylene pipe, or copper pipe. Match the fitting to the pipe’s outside diameter. Plastic pipe needs the correct manufacturer’s insert; copper pipe does not. Isolate the water, make a clean square cut and follow John Guest’s insertion and locking instructions. Check the joint for leaks before closing up the cupboard or access panel.
