Turn the water line without forcing the pipe.
Where it earns its place on a narrowboat
A 90° elbow is useful where an onboard pipe run changes direction behind a galley unit or beneath a basin. It creates a defined corner instead of relying on a tight bend in the pipe.
Choose the right fitting
- Equal 90° elbow: both ends take the same diameter.
- Choose 10mm, 15mm or 22mm.
- For hot and cold water and central heating within the manufacturer’s limits.
- Push-fit connection with Twist & Lock locking nuts.
Before you fit it
Use with compatible Speedfit PEX or polybutylene pipe, or copper pipe. Match the fitting to the pipe’s outside diameter. Plastic pipe needs the correct manufacturer’s insert; copper pipe does not. Isolate the water, make a clean square cut and follow John Guest’s insertion and locking instructions. Check the joint for leaks before closing up the cupboard or access panel.
Using Speedfit plastic pipe? Choose the matching JG Speedfit Superseal pipe insert for each pipe end. Superseal inserts are for Speedfit pipe and fittings only.
