The narrowboat job
This 12V Shurflo Trail King supplies a compatible pressurised freshwater system for onboard taps and showers. The 45psi version is a particular specification, so match it to your existing installation rather than choosing a higher pressure as an automatic upgrade.

Before replacing your pump
Check the old pump label, water-heater pressure limit, mounting space, port arrangement and electrical installation. Open-flow capacity is not the flow you will necessarily get through a shower at pressure. Confirm fuse and cable requirements in the instructions for the supplied model.
Finish the job
Inspect the inlet strainer, suction hose and connections before reconnecting. Weak flow can also come from a blocked strainer or an air leak; a new pump alone may not solve either problem. Match any replacement fittings and hose clips to the actual connections.
