The narrowboat job
This Jabsco Par-Max 3 is a 12V freshwater demand pump for a compatible onboard pressure system. The 25psi version supplies the galley and bathroom when water is drawn. Match the pump specification to the boat’s plumbing before replacing the old unit.

Before you order
Check the old pump label, water-heater pressure limit, port fittings and mounting space. The 25psi and 40psi versions serve different pressure requirements; higher pressure is not automatically a better match. Open-flow capacity will reduce under operating pressure and through installed pipework.
Finish the replacement
Check the tank feed, strainer and suction connections before blaming weak flow on the pump. Fit with the model’s specified wiring and protection, then test the system for leaks and correct shut-off.
