The onboard job
The Jabsco 46400-0002 is an inline inlet strainer for a compatible freshwater pump installation using 13mm hose. It gives you a serviceable point to catch debris from the tank feed before it reaches the pump.

Before buying
Match the hose’s internal diameter to the barbs and choose clips around the assembled hose’s outside diameter. Fit on the pump’s inlet side and leave room to open the strainer. This hose-barb version is different from a strainer that plugs directly into quick-connect pump ports.
What it solves
A clean strainer helps keep particles out of the pump. It is not a drinking-water purifier. If flow is poor, inspect the strainer, tank supply and suction connections before replacing the pump.
