Improve the taste of your onboard drinking-water supply.
The narrowboat job
The Jabsco Aqua Filta 59000-1000 adds activated-carbon filtration to a suitable onboard freshwater system. It is intended to reduce chlorine taste, unpleasant odours and discolouration in water that is already safe to drink.
Choose the right item
- Complete Aqua Filta set: 59000-1000.
- 13mm hose-barb installation; confirm connections and space before fitting.
- Manufacturer dimensions: 230mm high × 140mm deep × 100mm wide.
- Replace the cartridge annually or sooner if required.
Important water-quality distinction
Aqua Filta is not a water purifier and does not make unsafe water safe to drink. Silver in the filter media inhibits bacterial growth within the filter bed; it is not a promise to disinfect tank water. Maintain the tank and pipework separately and use a safe water supply.
Keep the system serviceable
Follow Jabsco’s fitting, cartridge-change and flushing instructions. For later maintenance, check the 59100-0000 replacement element.
