The coal cage is great for keeping a constant low heat with coal on a slow burn. Ideal for overnight.
My review of the coal cage.......absolutely brilliant as a low heat (very low at 100 degrees) constant burn. Ideal for continually keeping the stove slightly warm to keep the chill off. You could put it in at end of night to keep heat on overnight or contant during the day. I suppose you could also up the heat when needed by building wood fire around it. Well worth the money, and really reduces coal usage.
